Shane Mercer - Chief Executive Core Technology and Aviarc Global

A visionary entrepreneur, recognised internationally for thought leadership in cloud computing. Shane has led Core since 2000: providing new ideas and driving innovation through a vision for game changing technology for business and IT transformation.

Shane is a natural entrepreneur combining a consultative leadership style and a passion for excellence. Driven to realise a dream of making business problem solving and software development intuitive, practical and simple for all, Shane has grown Core Technology into an award winning company with world leading software development products at its heart. Shane is uncompromising about using technology to serve people and radically improve process and productivity.

Shane has an extensive entrepreneurial and consulting background in technology and IT and has drawn on that experience to direct the R&D of Aviarc from a totally fresh perspective. The extremely high degree of innovation, orienting Aviarc from intuitive business use towards IT results, as distinct from the "IT-out" demanded new thinking.

In mid 2010, Shane was appointed as advisor on cloud computing strategy to the New Zealand Government and serves as a select advisor to a global IT corporation on cloud computing strategy and futures.

Harry Page - Consulting Director

Harry has a thirst for knowledge and a strong desire to deliver maximum benefit out of leading edge technologies to Core's client base.

Harry leads the Infrastructure Consulting Practice at Core and also provides Enterprise Architecture Skills to leading Core clients. As a natural pragmatist Harry believes that new technologies only provide benefit if they are simple to use and manageable.

Harry has a broad range of skills and his ability to quickly assimilate new technologies allows him to rapidly see their application to our clients. Harry is particularly interested in the use of Open Source Technologies in commercial applications and Unified Communications.

Over his 25 year career Harry has on worked on projects for major companies such as Contact Energy, Shell Australia, NZ Police, Housing New Zealand Ltd and Vodafone.

Prior to joining Core Technology in 2001, Harry spent 15 years with Hewlett-Packard where his most recent role was Consulting Practice Manager.

John M. Boon - Head of Markets

A passion for building winning teams that achieve the extraordinary, combined with 25 years of senior executive experience in understanding corporate and market behaviours.

John has 15 years experience in CEO and senior executive roles in high tech and business consulting companies: having risen through the ranks of sales and marketing management and leadership. Prior to this John specialised for over ten years in leading teams to repeated success in must-win, large, complex, hi tech deals.

Leading organisations of hundreds of staff and annual revenues of over $300m has engendered a passion for the development of high performance teams and client focused culture, process and offerings. Understanding of how to define and match market needs has been a key to long term success. Experience in the crucible of transformation, restructures, acquisition and mergers have lent a seasoned understanding of organisation change and brand opportunity.

Industry experience with defence, telecommunications, automobile, manufacturing and distribution, retail, banking, central government and hi tech. also brings a broad perspective on industry verticals. John has achieved success in roles such as CEO, Country Manager, General Manager and Director of sales and marketing for a number of US and Asia Pacific multinationals in the IT and telecommunications sectors.

Robbie McIntyre - Regional Sales Director

Robbie provides 25 years experience in IT, Sales and Senior Management.

Prior to joining Core in 2004, Robbie was the Client Director for Gen-i and was responsible for running the central North Island region of New Zealand. The 5 years leading into this were in sales of digital print and scanning solutions including wide format mapping and archiving.

Robbie spent 14 years running various business units and businesses in the Wellington Region including Ricoh and Pitney Bowes. In his various roles he oversaw a number of company mergers and take-overs as the Japanese manufactures became directly involved in the NZ Market.

Chris Woods - Web Solutions Director

An experienced and principled business leader, Chris has 25 years management experience primarily gained from senior positions in Operations, ICT, Sales and Retail within the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Core Technology in 2010, Chris spent 4 years as Regional Manager – Lower North Island with Westpac Banking Corporation having responsibilities for a multi-billion dollar balance sheet.

Previously Chris enjoyed a highly successful 20 year career with The National Bank of New Zealand during which he held a succession of senior positions, as part of the executive team responsible for Information Technology and Operations. Highlights include key roles driving the development and implementation of the back office and credit card centralisation strategies.

Janice Feutz - Corporate Manager

Janice's considerable experience in leading business operations, consulting to growing businesses and teaching business management and operation in China and the west bring a seasoned eye for business management and HR to the Core Technology team.

Following a successful career in Education, Janice concentrated on family commitments to their agriculture business, combining this with a passion for innovation and adventure. These inevitably evolved into roles of ownership or management of a series of businesses, each adding new experiences and skills to Janice's already considerable repertoire.

Janice brings to Core Technology extensive experience in the ownership and management of businesses in retail, computer hardware and software, as a business locum and relief manager. She has also mentored many new executives and coached and developed business start-ups, delivering advice and training to regional businesses, and managing research and development grant schemes for innovative companies. Satisfying her need for growth and adventure saw Janice start up a successful education business based in Xiamen, Peoples Republic of China, she then used this experience to assist Business Wellington back home in New Zealand with business mentoring advice to local companies.

Janice provides the platform of organisation, efficient administration, resource and HR management essential to an ever changing, ever growing company such as Core Technology.

Stephen Goodier - General Manager, Wellington

A seasoned campaigner, Stephen brings 30 years extensive business experience gained in both multinationals and SME in roles spanning General Management, Sales and Finance.

Prior to joining Aviarc in 2010, Stephen spent the previous 4 years as COO with a privately owned group in the Financial Services sector starting up three new businesses in Australia and New Zealand. He was also involved in the acquisition and partial sale of going concern businesses.

Stephen spent 18 years internationally with Motorola in four European different countries, before departing as European Credit Manager in 1993 to set up home in New Zealand. Through the following 12 years Stephen achieved success in sales and executive management roles in the Telecommunications industry, leading high end teams to drive outstanding revenue and margin growth for a challenger business in the Telco arena.
